A mid-winter update… as our last post told, we are laid up for the winter and have a lot of work to do both here at home and on or under the boat once Spring arrives. Once we are back on the water we will be heading for the Baltic, where we intend to spend two seasons or so.
Starting at the beginning of May we plan to sail for the Netherlands where we will be ‘at home’ for Ynskje’s family and friends. We will then pass along the Dutch and German Friesian islands to the River Elbe and through the Kiel canal into the Baltic.
We plan to work our way anti-clockwise around the Baltic sea, visiting Germany, Poland, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia, where we anticipate laying up over winter 2016/17. Then in 2017 we may visit Russia and St Petersburg before working westwards along the southern coasts of Finland and Sweden. That’s as far as we have thought.

Great plans! We’d love to join you and see some of those places! Meanwhile, we’ll work hard to complete our level 2 sailing which we started last Autumn. It would be good to catch up with you some place some time anyway. Love from Ettie and Jonathan xx
