Antipole is back on the water in Inverness!
We filled a hire car with gear and supplies and wended our way up from the south. We stopped over in Leeds for two nights to see David and Marcus, visited Tony’s cousin Judy near Wetherby and then stopped over two more nights in Longformacus to see friends Ettie and Jonathan. From there, we had a beautiful drive in sunny weather through the snow-tipped Cairngorm Mountains to Inverness.
Antipole has survived the winter well and the decks were well washed with all the rain. We based ourselves in a hotel for three days while we did the messy tasks and made Antipole habitable. Today we were launched. We can now complete the rigging and have a shake-down sail before setting forth.
